Assalamualaikum and hi !!
This week, we did not have a google meet session with our naqibah as usual as we were asked to join a talk program by Dr. Ali Albarghouthi about the journey of Love to Allah. Here I attached the poster of the program.
The first point he talked about do we love Allah like do we actually love Allah? Love is one of our most fundamental feelings. What would we do if we fall in love with someone? Of course, we will follow their instructions. It is the same when we love Allah and do what He commands. "Amar maaruf nahi mungkar," for example. Love is doing something for Allah. We must keep in mind that Allah is always with us. We must do it without expecting anything in return. When we help people, for example, we cannot expect them to return the favor by giving us anything in return. Similarly, we must have faith that Allah will reward us.
The next topic of discussion was How Does Allah Love Us? Allah loves us when we are surrounded by good people, good parents, good food, and when we are tested. We must be thankful to Allah for all of his blessings. The best part is that even though we lose or suffer, Allah is still with us. This is what happiness looks like. Allah never abandons His servant.
Then, there's the question of how can we get to know Allah better. We need a structure for everything we do. Read and comprehend. These two factors are important. In Surah Al-Alaq verse 1, Allah says in the Quran, "Read in the name of your Lord who created." The importance of what is written in the Quran demonstrates the importance of reading if you want to learn more. We can also learn about it from Rasulullah SAW. Since Rasulullah is a patient human, the struggle that he faced brought him closer to Allah. We need to make him a role model for us. Furthermore, we will learn all of Allah's names by comprehending them. The more Allah's names we know, the more we can understand about Allah.
Following that, we had a Q&A session. I'm particularly intrigued by one question: what do we do if we have a sin addiction? To begin with, the reason we are addicted to it is that we love it more than Allah. We will not commit sins if we love Allah. To resolve it, we must raise our ibadah and continue to pray to Allah for forgiveness.
What I can conclude is, Allah is the source of the greatest love. Other than Allah's compassion, we are still searching for more, which can be a waste of time, and we are not alone. Don't forget to always ask Allah for help, no matter where we are or how difficult the situation is because Allah is always there for us. This program has provided me with a wealth of new information. I like it and I am looking forward to participating in more programs like this.
That's all I want to say, and I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey. Thank you :)
Great work!
